Concord, NH- House Republican Leader Dick Hinch (R-Merrimack) released the following statement after the House of Representatives voted to sustain Governor Sununu’s vetoes of HB 211, relative to inquiries by prospective employers concerning salary history, and HB 293, relative to employee credit privacy.

“Sustaining Governor Sununu’s vetoes of these two ill-advised proposals is a victory for New Hampshire’s booming economy. From the moment Democrats took control of the legislature, it was evident that they were determined to raise the cost of doing business in our state, while also adding burdensome mandates and restrictions. Republicans have been steadfast in their opposition to their anti-jobs agenda every step of the way. Today, we proudly voted to put an end to these bills and we will continue to assure laws made in Concord do not hinder New Hampshire’s economic success.”
